Oh, and Chloe is the one in the middle.

One of the best aspects of living in New Jersey is how easy it is for us to go to New York City.  And, with that, our ability to access all of the culture that NYC has to offer.  Now, would I consider 101 Dalmatians: The Musical a cultural experience?  Probably not.  But, it was Chloe’s first full length musical, and we saw it at the theater in Madison Square Gardens, so its was an excellent introduction.  Chloe was squirmy during the performance, but she was better behaved than many of the kids around us.  She really enjoyed it.  Its always hard to tell at the time, because she is four (or almost four) and her patience level is that of a typical four year old.  But she hasn’t stopped talking about it since, she wants to go see it again, and she has been watching the movie every day since we saw it.  I think that’s a rave review in the eyes of a Preschooler!

They both decided in order to get married, they needed to be dressed up…

but, when it was time for a nap…Seth decided the marriage was over.  Chloe didn’t seem to mind.

In other news.  Legolas and Arwen made a temporary truce, especially when it comes to stalking something they can never have…mainly the birds flying outside the window.

I know this is a short lived truce.  I am just glad they found common ground.

We were both a little sad when John sold the Talon.  It was the end of an era, and it was John’s nod to being a responsible adult.  However, neither of us were ready for him to truly lose his need for speed, so when he brought up an interest in motorcycles, I was on board.  John is always responsible, considerate, and hard working.  But, one of my favorite aspects of him is his love of all things fast and mechanical.  I love books, movies and tv.  John loves automobiles and motorcycles.  Taking those away from him would be like telling me I wasn’t allowed to watch TV.  I do think the world would actually cumbust.

John finally decided, after all this time, that he knew what kind of car he wanted down to the color of the exterior, interior, and everything in between.  So, when he asked me to drive to Maryland to pick up the car, there was no way I was going to say “No.”  Luckily, Chloe rocks with the road trips, and still amazes me with her patience.  So, all we climbed into the Jetta, with Chloe’s fancy new booster chair (she finally outgrew the car seat) we drove for three hours, each way, to get John his new car.

It was totally worth it.  Not only is his car fast, pretty, and everything he wants.  But it is comfortable, has enough leg room in the back for passangers, and it sounds really cool when he speeds up.
