I think they told me I need to get a life.

Yeah, so a couple of months ago, probably while I was drunk or high or something, I submitted my blog into Ask and Ye Shall Receive for a review. After I submitted, I started reading the site more thoroughly, and realized very quickly that they were going to tear me apart. But, I couldn’t remove my name, so I just sucked it up and waited for the aftermath.
All in all, the review could have been worse. If you don’t want to read it yourself, they basically accused me of being a bored housewife writing to keep family updated. Which, quite frankly, is true. Which, if you aren’t friends or family, is boring. So they gave me a “Meh” rating. Like I said, it could have been worse. I have seen people get flaming fingers and a “Fuck You” rating. Meh is definitely better than that!
So, again, I am embracing my “Mommyblogdom” and I appreciate those of you who do come back and read my blog, even though I am apparently boring.
Oh, and yes, my kid is damn cute, thanks!
(They did like a couple of my posts, though. That’s something, right?)
Haha! I did the same thing. A while back, I was feeling ballsy and so I added my name to be reviewed. I havent yet had mine. No doubt they’ll tear me apart as well. I aint scured though! Bring it on!!
I read the review too, I like going to the site to find new reading material. I can totally unerstand not wanting to go back to a pressure cooker when you have a two year old who needs you upbeat and ready to go. It does sound like they thought you should do something for yourself, that recharges you, apart from parenting.
I myself am a transplant and it is really hard making genuine friends as an adult, in a new place, so I can relate.
I think they’re a bunch of total bitches and should get a life.
I personally think stuff like that is disgusting.
It’s like they get a high from insulting others. I really don’t like that stuff–like Simon from American Idol.
So, these people hate your blog? They are one group with ONE opinion.
I think your blog seems totally fine so far. I mean your first post annoyed me and I totally bitched you out. I totally disagree with what you said. But I think your writing was fine. I think you’re interesting.
Anyway, you keep writing and don’t listen to those losers!!!!!
