What’s in a name?

Chloe has started naming some of her toys.  I knew it was just a matter of time.  Of course, I assumed she would name them after her friends (all boys would be named Seth), after herself (all girls would be named Chloe), or after her cousins (all girls would be either Sabrina or Tabby.)

Chloe: (bouncing a surprisingly realistic looking grasshopper on my chest.) Hellooo grasshopper!  What’s your name?  What’s your name?

Mommy: (trying to disguise my bored tone.) Hi Grasshopper, what’s your name?

Chloe: My name is SHOE!

Huh?

Chloe: Helloooo dragonfly!  What’s your name?  What’s your name?

Mommy: (curious this time.) Hi dragonfly, what’s your name?

Chloe: My name is TAIL!

Yup, Shoe and Tail.  I would like to introduce you to the newest members of our family, Mr. Shoe, and Ms. Tail.
